Despite the roosters (which I naively thought only wake up around 5 or 6 am), the dogs fighting on and off during the night (a horrific startling sound) and random blaring announcements from the village leader over loud speakers, our time at the babies home has been an oasis of peace.

Marg Baker, the director of the babies home is a passionate, adventurous, energetic, restful and fully submitted woman of God who simply lets Jesus be who He wants to be thru her.
The stories she shares could be focused on the tragedy that these orphans have or could have experienced (and it is heart breaking to hear snippets of them), but instead the focus is on God's faithfulness and amazing inexhaustible love He has for them. The home is changing lives one at a time and these kids are growing up with a strong identity in Jesus and already testify to others in the community and their schools with a strong and simple faith.
True love never simply declares itself with words, it comes with actions!
We had no idea what our time here would hold. Our humanness wants to come in and hope we can make a difference or at least feel useful in some way.
Instead, we were humbled to be on the receiving end and be refreshed, blessed, refilled, reminded of the simplicity of relationship with Jesus and the need to have Him permeate all parts of your life.
To see again that it isn't the person, but a person fully submitted to Jesus that can make a huge difference in the world you walk in.
J. Oswald Sanders wrote "Spirituality is not easy to define, but its presence or absence can easily be discerned. It is the power to change the atmosphere by one's presence, the unconscious influence that makes Christ and spiritual things real to others".
Jesus is very real here.
Afternoon walk!
The team of leaders in all 6 of the children homes in Thailand and Cambodia are providing for the physical, emotional educational and spiritual needs of the orphans and at risk children.
And for Marg, anyone who comes across her path!
I believe the ripple effect is huge.
Thank you Marg for being love poured out to everyone who crosses your path.
Brad, Anna and I were all touched in some way and we are thankful.
